Major Guide Service is an owner operated fishing guide service, specializing in Hybrids/Stripers, Sand Bass (White Bass), Catfish, Crappie and Trophy Blue Catfish. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, family friendly fishing trip... and of course catch plenty of fish.
What to Bring- Texas Fishing License- A valid Texas Fishing License is required for all persons over the age of 16 years old. A fishing license can be purchased at almost any Wal-Mart Supercenter or other participating sporting good suppliers. If you need help finding a location to purchase a license you can call me at (972) 268-3834 and I would be happy to help.
Drinks, snacks and a cooler- Bring all drinks, snacks and whatever food you would like to have on your trip. You will need to bring 2 coolers with ice. One for your food and drinks and one for your fish.
Life Jackets for children under 13- Texas Law Requires all children under the age of 13 years old to wear a life jacket while in motion. Though I carry plenty of life jackets on board, I do not carry many children's life jackets and since safety is my main concern I request that you bring a safe, snug fitting life jacket for each child that will be in attendance.
Rain Gear- I do not provide rain gear so please keep an eye on the forecast and if there is a chance of rain please bring rain gear.
Fishing Equipment- Though I provide all fishing gear required for the types of fishing we will be doing. If you have preferred rods and reels you would like to bring, feel free to do so. It is your trip and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
Sunscreen- In Spring, Summer and Fall it is not required but I do suggest bringing sunscreen.
Dress for the Season- Check the forecast and dress for the forecasted weather.
Bring a Camera- Though I will take pictures and email them to you. If you have a camera and you want to bring it feel free to do so.
